Wacky Weekend!
Gawsh… It’s been awhile, huh? Quite alot has happened since, but the weekend was the craziest!
Friday: Right after work, went to Mid Valley to get a Mother’s Day gift for me mom… decided to engrave our family photo on an acryllic stand.. Twas quite pricey but it was lovely and I knew mom would definitely love it! It was really worth being broke after that.. Then, went to OU to watch Kingdom Of Heaven… Even though my feet were sore, my stomach was growling and I was feeling sticky all over, it was absolutely worth it!!! The set was amazing, storyline was fantastic, scripts were brilliant and last but not least… yummy Orlando Bloom!!! The only thing that was a little messy was the war sequence… it was too disorienting. But other than that, it was perfect!. At first, I was quite reluctant to see this movie as it was an epic about the crusades (Perang Salib). I was afraid that the Muslims would be potrayed as terrorists, vicious and inhuman while the Christians would come up heroic. I was pleasantly surprised as it was a good attempt to show the best of both sides… To those who hasn’t seen it… grab your phone/go online and book your tickets NOW!!!
Saturday: Get to wake up at 11.00… yayyy!!! Then I went SHOPPING! But wait… it’s not for clothes or shoes… for groceries!! Why, do u ask? Well, I was planning a big shindig at my place the very next day, so I had to get the stuff for my baked maceroni and bbq chicken.. later on that night, went to Johnny’s Steamboat to celebrate an early Mother’s Day… It was a good choice coz after dinner everybody was FLAT! hehehe
Sunday: Ah… Mother’s Day. Me n my sisters got up at 7.45 (yup! THAT early) to prepare a breakfast in bed for my mom… Menu: Ommellete de fromage (cheese ommellete) and mushrooms… beef patty, salad and hot milo… we sneaked into her room and woke her up.. boy, was she surprised! It was totally worth waking up that early to cook… ehehe… Later, at noon, I started cooking the baked maceroni and salad for the night’s shindig… By 6.00, my frens arrived with the lamb, potatoes and the cream caramel, and we got the bbq party started! After a whole lot of running up down and around, by 8.00 everybody was diggin’ in… Had a whole lotta laughs, esp when my fren Sue was very nearly thrown into the pool by the "cheeky munkys"… poor girl…
By 10.30, the guests left with bigger tummies and wider grins… As for me, had to do alot of cleaning up and packing the stuff to be brought back up… When all’s done, with my body aching and eyes barely open, I was out cold… It was amazing I could wake up this morning!!!
So all in all, the bbq party was a blast! Even though quite a few didn’t come, those closest and matters most to me did, and for that, I’m thankful… To those who came and helped, thank you!… To Shaun and Nazli, thanx for the bone-lickin’ lamb and chicken and to Tammy, Aida, Aino and Sue, thanx for helpin’ out… Maybe we can do this again, ya! But not within these few months laa… Pengthannnnn….. ;P
